That  this day, the 27th day of September, in the year 2010, has been officially declared the end of awful by the Head Gardener and this writer.  We declare this to be a day of gardening on my corner of Katy ... let the festivities commence!

Yay!There is great joy throughout the land! Not only are gardeners rejoicing, but the gardens themselves are heaving a big sigh of relief.

Congratulations on the end of awful! In Connecticut, you might say our awful will begin around January 15 and last 2 and a half months or so :)

You haven't had rain? How did you miss it? We have had the rainiest September since 1920. But now the weather is just perfect. Happy gardening.

Jenny, I have no idea how the rain manages to grace most of the greater Houston area and yet miss my corner of Katy! I say I'm the lesser Houston area, LOL. Happy gardening to you, too ... I know you Austinites are as happy as I am with the temperature change!
