This is the first of what I hope will be many Monday morning posts
sharing the views through my garden gate.
Spring is my favorite time in this part of the garden.

OK, this one wasn't taken through the gate but it's such a good picture that I must beg your indulgence. This is Annie, the Garden Terrierist.

What is the purple? Almost looks like verbena..
Cindee, give your terrierist a scratch behind the ears from me and tell her Annie says Woof!
MT, there are purple Laura Bush Petunias and various shades of purple verbena, as well as some spiderwort, in all of the pictures.
Nancy, if I could just train my assistant to fetch as well as be fetching ...
Dr. Laura, I believe readers should know that you're the reason I have such a delightful assistant in the garden! Dr. Laura (the GOOD Dr. Laura) is my wonderful sister, who foster parented with a rescue group in Austin back in 2003. She's the one who spotted Annie and knew right away that Annie was destined for my family.
Brenda
Annie (not a terrierist, but perhaps a Terra-ist at the Transplantable Rose)
Brenda, someday I need to tell the story of how Annie came to us. She has been a wonderful addition to our family.
Annie, any time you're coming through the Houston area, you are welcome to visit!
Gail, I am very happy with the job my builder did on the new fence and gate. I still can't believe the old one didn't budge even a fraction of an inch during the hurricane!
Grounded, I've put a reminder to myself in my Google calendar to take pictures on Monday mornings. I hope to share many more views with y'all!
Linda, we had a Yorkshire terrierist prior to Annie. Nala was more of a lie about the garden and look pretty kind of assistant!
